Legacy Equipment
Our experienced engineers carry years of knowledge of many legacy systems. If you have legacy equipment and need assistance or advice, we are able to help.
We can help you maintain your legacy equipment by sourcing hardware replacements and spares, performing software backups and making modifications. Once you are ready to upgrade, we can provide the knowledge to migrate the existing hardware and software to the latest systems either from the same or different manufacturers.
We have proven experience upgrading PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, databases, bespoke systems including legacy visual basic and C++ programs.
“Black Box” Replacement
Often vendors will provide clients with a “black box” system of which the client has no control.
This may not be suitable or infact often the client is held to ransom by ongoing support contracts from the vendor. Sometimes vendors are overseas and the support timeframe does not fit the clients demands.
We have successfully reverse engineered and replaced “black box” legacy equipment such as PC applications and dedicated shop floor controllers. If you have a box or application that’s no longer supported or if you need to integrate the control of this “black box” into your existing control system – speak to us.
